People Operations Executive – Cinema HR

About the role

We are looking for a People Operations Executive to lead HR activities across our cinema locations in Lagos. The role will serve as the primary HR contact, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and a supportive environment for staff.

Key responsibilities

• Act as first point of HR contact for managers and staff at all cinema sites.
• Conduct regular site visits, collect structured staff feedback and raise issues proactively.
• Support site leadership with people‑management decisions, documentation and headcount tracking.
• Maintain accurate attendance, leave and workforce data and contribute to weekly HR snapshots.
• Collect, verify and process monthly payroll inputs, liaise with Finance and administer shift allowances, incentives and variable pay.
• Handle first‑line disciplinary, grievance and welfare matters in line with company policy and Nigerian labour law, escalating complex cases as needed.
• Assist with probation reviews, contract renewals and exit processes.
• Support recruitment for cinema‑based roles, maintain a talent pipeline and coordinate onboarding and 90‑day integration.
• Ensure HR documentation is complete, audit‑ready and that compliance risks are flagged early.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–4 years of HR experience with a focus on field or operational HR.
• Hands‑on payroll administration experience.
• Strong employee‑relations capability and knowledge of Nigerian labour law.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a warm, energetic presence.
