Manager, People Operations

About the role

As Manager, People Operations you will design and run the systems that enable our teams across multiple African markets to work efficiently and effectively. You will evaluate current hiring, onboarding, performance management and employee support processes and implement data‑driven improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate core People Operations processes across the business.
• Track key people metrics such as attrition, time‑to‑productivity and employee engagement.
• Maintain accurate employee records, contracts and documentation.
• Coordinate payroll inputs and benefits administration with Finance.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws in all operating markets and update policies as regulations change.
• Own end‑to‑end onboarding, pre‑joining logistics and Day 1 readiness.
• Manage off‑boarding, including exit interviews and documentation.
• Oversee the company‑wide performance review cycle and continuously improve the process.
• Lead, coach and develop the People Operations team, assigning work and ensuring delivery quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in any field and completed NYSC.
• At least 7 years of experience in HR, People Operations or a related field.
• Proven experience designing or improving HR processes such as onboarding or performance management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing or mentoring team members and leading cross‑functional projects.
• Legally authorized to work in Nigeria.

Required skills

• Ability to use data and people metrics to identify problems and recommend solutions.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Leafsome, Zoho People or similar tools.
