Fleet Operations Manager - Medical Logistics

About the role

A healthcare logistics organisation in Lagos is recruiting an experienced Fleet Operations Manager. The role oversees daily fleet operations, manages riders and drivers, coordinates medical dispatch activities and ensures efficient, safe and timely service delivery. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily dispatch operations involving motorcycles and vehicles for medical cargo and patient transportation.
• Manage riders, drivers, fleet scheduling, route planning and operational performance.
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery of medical samples, supplies and other healthcare-related cargo.
• Monitor fleet maintenance, vehicle readiness, fuel consumption and logistics costs.
• Implement and enforce procedures for medical cargo handling, cold chain management and safety compliance.
• Handle dispatch incidents, delivery delays and service quality issues.
• Coordinate rider and driver recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management.
• Prepare operational reports and track KPIs such as turnaround time and delivery efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet management, logistics operations, dispatch management or last-mile delivery.
• HND/BSc in Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience managing motorcycle riders, drivers and dispatch operations.
• Strong knowledge of Lagos routes, traffic patterns and route optimisation.
• Experience in medical logistics, healthcare delivery, medical sample transport or cold chain is a strong advantage; prior experience in medical logistics, healthcare distribution, courier or last-mile delivery is strongly encouraged.
