About the role
The Mechanical Preparator Engineer works directly with the client to ensure that vital equipment on production sites is available for maintenance, modifications, and repairs. The role supports onshore teams and acts as a focal point for offshore maintenance activities.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare scopes of work, ensuring all materials and equipment are available for modifications, repairs, or maintenance.
- Review and validate calls for bids, supervise external contractors, and ensure proper documentation of modifications.
- Assist in analyzing equipment malfunctions, recommending repairs and preventive actions, and improving equipment availability and efficiency.
- Help prepare preventive maintenance schedules and monitor spare‑parts stock levels.
Required profile
- Experience in preparing and executing detailed maintenance work scopes.
- Ability to supervise external contractors and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Strong analytical skills for equipment malfunction analysis and preventive maintenance planning.
Required skills
- Knowledge of gas generators, gas compressors, hydraulic systems, diesel engines.
- Experience with a broad spectrum of pumps (all types), air compression and general utilities equipment.
- Familiarity with TOTAL process and organization.
