Facilities Manager

About the role

The Facilities Manager will ensure that the plant’s utilities, grounds and support services are safe, clean, compliant and fully operational. This role also oversees housekeeping standards and manages all facilities‑related vendors, including liaison with the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).

Key responsibilities

• Set, monitor and enforce cleanliness and hygiene standards across the plant, offices, canteen, restrooms and common areas.
• Manage waste segregation, collection, storage and disposal, and serve as the primary contact with LAWMA.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard facilities service providers, negotiate contracts and monitor performance using KPIs.
• Enforce safe working practices, maintain fire safety equipment, and investigate facilities‑related incidents.
• Submit weekly and monthly facilities, housekeeping and vendor performance reports and supervise the facilities team.

Required profile

• B.Sc./HND in Facilities Management, Engineering, Estate Management, Environmental Management or related field.
• 7+ years of facilities management experience, at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH/IOSH, IFMA/BIFM or PMP are an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of plant maintenance, utilities and housekeeping standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office and facilities management software.
