Marketing Executive - Life and General Insurance

About the role

Fortis Global Insurance Plc is hiring a Marketing Executive in Lagos, Nigeria, working in a hybrid arrangement and reporting to the Unit Manager or Agency Manager. The role promotes and sells life and general insurance products, identifies potential customers, builds relationships and generates sales to meet business targets.

Key responsibilities

• Sell life and general insurance products, generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calls and field marketing, and turn qualified prospects into paying policyholders.
• Meet daily, weekly and monthly sales and premium production targets.
• Understand customers' needs, explain policy benefits, premiums, exclusions and conditions, and follow up on premium payments and renewals.
• Take part in marketing campaigns, exhibitions, trade fairs and corporate visits, and use digital channels to attract new customers.
• Maintain records of prospects and sales, prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, and follow up on pending business.
• Comply with company policies and insurance regulations, keep customer information confidential and avoid misrepresentation.

Required profile

• Minimum of B.Sc., HND, ND or NCE; marketing, business administration, economics, finance, insurance, accounting or social sciences graduates are encouraged to apply.
• No years of experience required; previous experience in sales, marketing, business development, banking, financial services or insurance is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates and entry-level candidates are welcome.

• Basic computer literacy and ability to prepare sales reports.
• Willingness to do field marketing and meet prospective customers.

Career progression to supervisory, Unit Manager and Agency Manager positions is possible depending on performance and company requirements.
