Legal Officer

About the role

The Legal Officer will provide comprehensive legal support to a company operating in the sales and services of diesel generators. This role involves managing contracts, advising on property and warehousing matters, and representing the legal unit in internal and external engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and draft contract documentation.
• Provide legal advice on issues related to the company’s core activities.
• Advise on property and warehousing matters.
• Draft letters and responses for transactions with John Holt Plc. and other units.
• Represent the Legal Unit in meetings and prepare monthly reports.
• Liaise with external solicitors on court cases.
• File statutory reports with relevant authorities.
• Assist the Company Secretary with assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum second class degree in Law.
• At least 5 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proactive approach to risk management and problem solving.
• Ability to build client relationships and work independently.
• Effective relationship‑management skills and openness to feedback.
