Legal Compliance Officer

About the role

The Legal Compliance Officer will ensure Cavista Holdings adheres to all applicable local, national, and international regulations across its diverse business units. Reporting to senior management, you will champion a culture of ethical behavior and regulatory excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards, updating internal policies accordingly.
• Develop, review, and communicate compliance policies and procedures for all business units.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and devise mitigation strategies with management.
• Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels.
• Implement monitoring and auditing programs to verify policy adherence.
• Investigate and resolve compliance issues, coordinating with external auditors when needed.
• Prepare and present compliance reports for senior management and the board.
• Act as the primary contact for ethical concerns and whistleblower matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in legal compliance, regulatory affairs, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian and international regulatory environments.
• Proven ability to develop and implement compliance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
