Compliance Officer

About the role

Global University Systems is seeking an experienced, highly analytical and commercially aware Compliance Officer to strengthen the quality and compliance of student recruitment from Nigeria. The role focuses on risk identification, analysis, quality assurance and continuous improvement, not on processing visa applications.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse visa refusals and manage risk across the Nigerian student pipeline.
• Review applicant quality and pre‑CAS risk, supporting agents and partner universities.
• Monitor agent performance, identifying agents with high refusal or high‑risk rates.
• Maintain a refusal database, identify trends, and communicate significant issues promptly.
• Develop and maintain compliance KPIs and dashboards for reporting.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and data interpretation capability.
• In‑depth knowledge of UK student visa routes and UKVI requirements.
• Experience in international student recruitment, higher education admissions or compliance, especially within the Nigerian market.
• Professional judgement with ability to escalate difficult issues.
