Legal Associate

About the role

The Legal Associate will work full‑time on‑site in Ajah‑Lekki, supporting senior lawyers across multiple practice areas. This position involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting research, and assisting with case preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior lawyers in litigation, corporate governance, energy and banking law matters.
• Draft, review and organise contracts, pleadings and legal opinions.
• Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments.
• Liaise with clients, attend meetings and court proceedings as required.
• Prepare case files and assist in developing dispute resolution and transaction strategies.

Required profile

• Recognised law degree with professional legal training or licensure.
• Experience in litigation and strong understanding of core legal principles.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and maintain high ethical standards.
• Resident of the Ajah‑Lekki area is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting and reviewing contracts and pleadings.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret laws and assess risks.
