Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant will ensure all hotel linens, uniforms and specialty fabrics are cleaned, processed and returned to guests in pristine condition. This position supports the hospitality operation by maintaining high standards of hygiene, inventory control and equipment upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Collect soiled linens, terry and uniforms, sort by colour, fabric type, size and soil level.
• Pre‑treat stains with appropriate chemicals and operate commercial washing machines following sanitation standards.
• Transfer items to dryers, fold finished towels and sheets, and press or iron uniforms and specialty linens.
• Track and manage inventory of detergents, bleach, fabric softeners, laundry bags and sewing supplies.
• Clean lint traps daily, maintain washing/drying machines and report any mechanical issues.
• Sweep and mop laundry room floors, store clean linens properly and keep storage areas organized.
• Process individual guest laundry or dry‑cleaning requests, create tracking tags and handle lost‑and‑found items per hotel policy.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a laundry or similar hospitality role.
• Minimum of SSCE (Senior Secondary School Certificate).
