Laboratory Technician (Micro) – Sagamu Brewery

About the role

The Laboratory Technician (Micro) will support the Sagamu Brewery by performing specialized microbiological quality analyses and ensuring laboratory equipment is calibrated and compliant. This role works closely with shift‑based production teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of product safety.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out specialized quality analyses and record results in the appropriate information systems.
• Conduct calibration of specialist laboratory equipment and assist shift teams with calibration needs.
• Perform quality audits, document findings and communicate corrective actions.
• Support production teams in problem‑solving, providing specialist analytical techniques and mentorship.
• Participate in regional and divisional process optimisation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum B.Sc or HND in Microbiology, Biochemistry or a related field.
• Completion of at least one year of on‑the‑job training (SKAP completed).
• Willingness to work shifts in an industrial brewery environment.
