About the role

The Journalist will be based on‑site in Lekki and will create clear, engaging, and accurate news content across multiple formats. You will cover technology, business, and company activities, producing articles, reports, and features that align with the brand’s editorial standards.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop story ideas, conduct interviews, and gather information from diverse sources.
• Write news articles, reports, and feature pieces focused on technology, renewable energy, security, and automation.
• Draft press releases and internal communications for timely dissemination.
• Collaborate with media, communications, marketing, and technical teams to ensure consistent messaging.
• Monitor industry trends, verify facts and figures, and maintain editorial accuracy.

Required profile

• Strong writing and news‑writing abilities with excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Solid research skills for sourcing information and fact‑checking.
• Experience creating professional press releases.
• Broadcasting skills for presenting stories via audio, video, or live media.
• Comfortable working on‑site in a fast‑paced environment, meeting deadlines and handling multiple assignments.
• Background in journalism, communications, media studies, or a related field; newsroom experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with technology, renewable energy, or security/automation sectors and basic digital media tools is advantageous.
