ICT Support Contractor – UNODC (Abuja)

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking a local individual contractor to provide comprehensive Information & Communications Technology (ICT) support at its Abuja office. The role involves ensuring reliable network connectivity, maintaining hardware, and delivering timely software updates for staff and events.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and support IT equipment for workshops, conferences, meetings and seminars.
• Install, upgrade and patch commercial and in‑house software, including anti‑virus solutions.
• Monitor daily network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues and implement counter‑measures against malware.
• Perform hardware maintenance such as replacing disks, memory modules, network wiring and power supplies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventories of hardware, software and spare parts in coordination with Asset Management Teams.
• Provide ICT assistance during key UNODC events and respond to user queries on network access.

Required profile

• Proven experience in ICT support within an office or institutional environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Abuja and collaborate with UNODC staff.
• Familiarity with UN corporate ICT standards and procedures is an advantage.
