ICT and Inventory Management Officer

About the role

The ICT and Inventory Management Officer acts as a bridge between technical operations and asset stewardship. The role combines basic IT support with comprehensive inventory control, keeping technology reliable and stock records accurate so that operations run smoothly and assets are protected. It suits someone with 0-2 years of experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immediate technical assistance to staff on computers, printers, network connectivity and peripherals.
• Install, configure and maintain hardware, software and equipment, and diagnose first-level system and network issues.
• Manage and update digital asset registers, and monitor system performance, escalating faults to stakeholders.
• Facilitate data backups, apply system updates and enforce basic cybersecurity standards.
• Maintain records for all inventory categories, document stock movements and perform regular physical stock counts and reconciliations.
• Track stock levels, alert management to low stock and organize storage areas with clear labelling.
• Support deployment of inventory management software, assist with procurement and take part in inventory audits.
• Produce periodic ICT and inventory reports and follow asset-use and inventory policies.
