Human Resources Manager

About the role

eRecruiter is recruiting, on behalf of its client, an experienced Human Resources Officer for a long-standing and fast-growing experiential marketing agency in Lagos, Nigeria. The agency delivers individual consumer experiences through a highly skilled professional team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
• Provide counseling on policies and procedures
• Take part in recruitment: prepare job descriptions, post ads and manage the hiring process
• Create and implement onboarding plans
• Develop training and development programs
• Assist in performance management processes
• Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
• Maintain employee records such as attendance and EEO data in line with policy and legal requirements
• Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR officer, administrator or in another HR position
• BSc/BA in business administration, social studies or a relevant field; further training is a plus
• HR credentials such as a PHR from the HR Certification Institute are a plus

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR functions (pay and benefits, recruitment, training and development)
• Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving and decision-making aptitude, strong ethics and reliability
