HR Officer - Lending Company, Ibadan

About the role

A lending company in Ibadan is looking for a proactive, organised and detail-oriented HR Officer to manage day-to-day HR operations, support recruitment, maintain employee records and help implement HR policies and procedures. The position is onsite in Dugbe, Ibadan, with a stated monthly salary of N150,000 and a preference for female candidates for gender balance.

Key responsibilities

• Recruitment and talent acquisition: coordinate job postings, CV screening, interview scheduling and candidate selection; liaise with hiring managers on staffing needs; coordinate onboarding and orientation of new employees.
• Employee relations and engagement: handle employee enquiries, support engagement, welfare and retention initiatives, promote a positive work environment, and assist with performance management and disciplinary processes.
• HR administration: keep employee records and personnel files up to date, monitor attendance, punctuality and leave, assist with payroll preparation and HR documentation, and coordinate staff training and development.
• HR reporting and compliance: prepare HR reports, maintain documentation of HR activities, ensure compliance with company policies and labour laws, and suggest improvements to HR processes.

Required profile

• BSc/HND in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant HR experience.
• Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM or similar) is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of recruitment, HR administration and employee relations.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills; willingness to work onsite in Dugbe, Ibadan.
