HR & Learning, Sustainability Manager (Lagos)

About the role

A leading multimedia production company, known for content on Nigerian and African fashion, music and entertainment, is hiring an HR & Learning Manager based in Lagos. The role reports directly to the CEO and combines people operations with the planning and delivery of sustainability, talent-development and social-impact initiatives. It suits an emerging manager who can work independently and make sound judgement.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business priorities into an annual HR workplan, people calendar and workforce actions, and advise the CEO on staffing, structure, performance and culture.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, probation, confirmations, exits and employee records.
• Run the performance-management cycle (KPIs, appraisals, development plans) and coordinate learning and development with line managers.
• Support employee relations, policy guidance, disciplinary and grievance processes, and compliance with labour requirements.
• Prepare monthly payroll inputs with Finance, track headcount and people indicators, and report to the CEO.
• Help turn sustainability and impact priorities into annual plans, budgets and timelines aligned with youth empowerment and creative-industry development.
• Coordinate training programmes, learning cycles, mentorship and events, and maintain dashboards and impact reports.
• Monitor programme budgets, manage stakeholder communication and represent the company at programme meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences, Education, Development Studies or a related field.
• Four to six years of experience in HR operations, people management, programme coordination, learning and development or social-impact delivery.
• Professional HR certification such as CIPM, CIPD or SHRM preferred; candidates working towards it may be considered.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of HR operations, employee relations and HR policy administration.
• Basic budget monitoring, data analysis, reporting and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with HR systems such as Seamless HR, survey tools or learning platforms is an advantage.
