Housekeeper - Private Household

About the role

A private household is looking for a neat, reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to keep the home clean, hygienic and well organised. The ideal candidate has experience with household cleaning, laundry and general housekeeping, and can maintain a comfortable, tidy living environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the house, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and sanitise surfaces as required.
• Handle laundry: wash, iron, fold and arrange clothes.
• Change bed linens, make beds and look after bedrooms and guest rooms.
• Organise household items so they stay in their designated places.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and notify the right person when items need replenishing; help receive and arrange household supplies when needed.
• Store cleaning products and equipment properly and maintain high standards of hygiene.
• Respect the privacy, property and confidentiality of household members and carry out other reasonable housekeeping duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience as a Housekeeper in a private household, hotel or similar setting.
• Previous experience in a private household is an added advantage.
• Trustworthy, discreet, respectful and hardworking; able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of cleaning techniques, laundry care and household maintenance.
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment and products safely.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and good time management.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
