Head of Operations

About the role

The Head of Operations leads and integrates all plant functions—including production, supply chain, quality, engineering, maintenance, logistics and HSE—to achieve operational excellence, customer satisfaction and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing activities to meet production, quality, cost, safety and service targets while optimizing people, assets and capacity.
• Chair the monthly S&OP process, daily Operations Review and weekly performance meetings to align demand, supply, inventory and capacity.
• Oversee production planning, inventory management and raw material availability to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure equipment reliability, compliance with quality, regulatory and safety standards, and drive a zero‑harm culture.
• Manage operational budgets, cost‑optimization initiatives and drive asset utilization.
• Provide leadership, develop operational teams and foster cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Finance, Procurement and HR.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Chemistry or related field; MBA or Master’s is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in a senior operations leadership role.
• Proven experience managing multi‑functional manufacturing operations, preferably in FMCG, chemical or industrial sectors.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma, PMP, APICS/CSCP, NEBOSH certifications.
• ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP and analytics tools like Power BI.
• Strong expertise in manufacturing operations management, production planning, inventory management and S&OP.
