Head of Investment Banking

About the role

The client, a leading Financial Services Group, is seeking a Head of Investment Banking to lead and grow its investment banking division in Lagos. This senior position reports to the Group Executive Director and works closely with the Group CEO and other business heads.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the investment banking strategy aligned with growth objectives.
• Lead and manage the investment banking team to achieve revenue targets and strengthen market positioning.
• Originate and execute complex transactions across debt/equity capital markets, M&A, project finance, and advisory services.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with CEOs, CFOs, institutional investors, regulators and other key stakeholders.
• Oversee transaction deliverables including financial modelling, valuation analysis, investor presentations and documentation.

Required profile

• B.Sc./HND in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Law or related discipline; MBA or MSc is a plus.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or transaction leadership role.
• Proven track record of originating and executing complex investment banking transactions.
• Strong network of corporate clients, institutional investors, regulators and professional advisers in Nigeria.
