Head of Finance - Premium Hospitality

About the role

A premium hospitality organization in Maitama, Abuja is looking for an experienced, commercially astute Head of Finance to lead its financial strategy, planning and operations. The role builds and manages a robust finance function, ensures sound financial governance and regulatory compliance, and supports sustainable growth. It reports to the Founder / CEO and is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the financial strategy, and lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long-term modelling
• Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts and financial performance reports for executive management
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital and treasury; oversee capital expenditure, procurement payments, vendor management and investments
• Build financial models for revenue forecasting, pricing, profitability and expansion
• Set up internal controls, policies and governance frameworks
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, fixed assets and general ledger, and prepare management accounts and financial statements
• Coordinate statutory audits and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, regulators and banks
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax and regulatory requirements (FIRS, PAYE, Pension, NSITF, NHF, CAC)
• Monitor performance through KPIs and variance analysis, evaluate investment opportunities and advise management on pricing, cost and capital decisions
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, and support contract negotiations and procurement decisions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) is mandatory
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years in a senior finance leadership or management role
• Hospitality, healthcare, real estate, membership clubs or luxury services experience is an advantage
• Must reside in Abuja or be willing to relocate

• Accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle or Zoho Books
