Finance Manager - Solar Panel Manufacturing

About the role

The Finance Manager oversees financial planning, analysis and reporting for the solar panel manufacturing operations. The role ensures cost control, efficient resource allocation and compliance with financial regulations while supporting strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts and cash flow for the subsidiary
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll and reconciliations
• Implement cost control measures to improve profitability
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports to senior management
• Ensure tax compliance and timely submission of statutory filings
• Liaise with external auditors, banks and financial institutions
• Support investment decisions with accurate financial analysis
• Establish and monitor internal financial controls to mitigate risk
• Provide financial insights to guide operational and commercial strategy
• Lead and develop the finance team
• Monitor the impact of currency fluctuations on procurement and imports
• Drive improvements to ERP or financial software for more efficient reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum 5 years in financial management, ideally in manufacturing or energy
• Proven experience with cost control in production environments
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced startup-like environment
• Strong business acumen and decision-making skills

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax laws and compliance frameworks
• Advanced skills in financial modelling and data analysis
• Experience with foreign exchange management is an added advantage
