Head of Finance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead our banking finance function in Lagos. The role involves steering financial strategy, managing risk, and ensuring robust financial controls to support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop financial projections, growth plans and oversee accounting services.
• Lead the bank’s financial planning, risk management and investment strategy.
• Control fundraising initiatives, capital structure and cash‑flow management.
• Supervise finance personnel, manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with laws and internal policies.
• Implement and maintain the finance IT system and produce reliable reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Chartered Accountant qualification (ICAN, ACCA, CPA) preferred.
• 5‑10 years of experience in accounting and financial management, including senior leadership (CFO/Head of Finance) roles.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive profitability and manage corporate finance risk.
