Operations Manager

About the role

FairMoney is seeking an Operations Manager to provide senior operational leadership across Nigeria, driving execution, governance, scalability and customer experience. The role translates strategy into scalable operating models and leads complex teams through growth and change.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve end‑to‑end operational performance across GPS, back office, finance, field operations and service delivery.
• Provide strategic and hands‑on leadership for multi‑functional and multi‑regional operations, establishing accountability, operating rhythms and performance standards.
• Manage operational KPIs, dashboards, service levels, productivity, cost efficiency and corrective‑action plans using data‑driven decisions.
• Lead process transformation, standardisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain operational and financial discipline, including budget oversight, cost management and performance forecasting.
• Ensure robust risk, compliance, controls and regulatory adherence across operational activities.
• Build high‑performing teams through coaching, succession planning and performance management.
• Lead operational change and expansion initiatives such as new‑market, product or channel rollouts.

Required profile

• 7+ years progressive experience in operations, commercial management or similar high‑growth environments.
• Proven track record scaling operations, building distribution networks and entering new markets.
• Strong financial accountability experience with P&L, budgets and cost management.
• Exceptional people‑leadership capability, including managing managers and developing leadership pipelines.
• Deep understanding of operational risk, controls, compliance and customer protection in regulated settings.

Required skills

• Advanced analytical and business‑intelligence capability.
• Proficiency in KPI dashboards, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Operational reporting expertise.
