Head of Credit, Marketing & Program Manager

About the role

Our client, a newly acquired micro‑finance bank in Enugu, is seeking a senior leader to drive credit operations, marketing initiatives and financial‑inclusion programmes. The Head of Credit, Marketing & Program Manager will be responsible for growing the loan portfolio, expanding the customer base and supporting the bank’s transition to a national licence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full credit lifecycle – loan origination, appraisal, disbursement, monitoring and recovery.
• Develop and enforce credit policies, risk‑assessment frameworks and ensure compliance with CBN regulations.
• Analyse portfolio performance (PAR, NPLs, recoveries) and implement corrective actions.
• Lead business‑development and sales drives for loan products, deposits and other financial services.
• Build relationships with community leaders, cooperatives, corporate partners and other stakeholders.
• Design and execute marketing campaigns across digital, ATL and BTL channels to boost brand visibility and deposit mobilisation.
• Conduct market research, track competitive dynamics and translate insights into product and strategy recommendations.
• Collaborate on the design of innovative financial products for youth, women‑owned businesses and other priority segments.

Required profile

• Minimum eight years (96 months) of experience in credit, banking or micro‑finance operations.
• Proven track record in leading marketing and customer‑acquisition programmes.
• Strong understanding of CBN regulatory framework and credit risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional teams and drive results in a fast‑growing environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
