Growth Lead – P2P & Crypto Marketplace (Nigeria)

About the role

A high-growth CeDeFi startup building a merchant liquidity network and trading marketplace for crypto users across emerging markets is hiring a Growth Lead based in Nigeria. This is a market-building role rather than a traditional marketing position: the candidate builds local market presence, drives high-quality user acquisition and establishes repeatable growth channels within the Nigerian crypto ecosystem. The role is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and onboard institutional and high-volume participants to ensure consistent marketplace liquidity and depth
• Develop and run localized growth strategies to acquire and convert new users into active traders, covering segmentation, referral programs and onboarding optimization
• Serve as primary relationship owner for key marketplace participants, maintaining platform SLAs and operational standards
• Share local payment trends, settlement preferences and alternative rails relevant to the African market with the product team

Required profile

• 5+ years in Fintech Operations, Digital Asset Settlement or Marketplace Management
• Strong understanding of the African crypto trading landscape and deep familiarity with Nigerian payment infrastructure and cross-border value movement
• Proven ability to build SOPs and work in lean, remote-first environments
• Comfortable operating directly in the market: building relationships, testing initiatives, analyzing results and scaling what works

Preferred qualifications

• Experience at a crypto exchange, P2P marketplace, wallet, Web3 project or fintech
• Direct experience with P2P merchants or liquidity providers
• Existing network among Nigerian crypto KOLs, communities and ecosystem participants
• Referral, affiliate or community-led growth experience
• Launching a new crypto product or market from an early stage
• Managing KOL, PR, media or growth agencies
