Graphic Designer (Local Hub)

About the role

OPay, a mobile money platform licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, is looking for a Graphic Designer (Local) based in Nigeria to act as its on-the-ground creative production and localization hub. You will turn global brand assets into culturally relevant Nigerian experiences, respond to the local market in real time and keep the brand consistent across every local touchpoint.

Key responsibilities

• Edit and retouch raw footage from two local photographers, delivering publish-ready assets on a weekly basis
• Create fast, native creatives for WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and X, including trend-based content, seasonal moments and crisis or rumor-response visuals
• Adapt global and regional materials from the Beijing team to the Nigerian context, using local talent, Pidgin English and slang, and local festivals and cultural cues
• Own local proofing, printer and vendor coordination, and on-site quality checks for billboards, agent-network posters and event and roadshow materials
• Review vendor and agency output to prevent off-brand changes, alongside the Beijing brand guidelines
• Convert Beijing master templates into reusable local templates
• Create illustrations, icons and scene-based visuals that portray real, dignified Nigerian life without stereotyping

Required profile

• Based in Nigeria (national or long-term resident), with native-level Pidgin or local language skills and fluent written and spoken English
• 3-5+ years of design experience
• Proven track record of delivering steady social, advertising or event visuals to brief
• Strong brand-consistency instinct and ability to work asynchronously, over Lark (Feishu)

Required skills

• Photoshop and Lightroom (retouching and color grading)
• Premiere Pro, After Effects or CapCut for video; template localization in Figma
• Preferred: fintech, payments or telecoms experience; illustration or motion graphics; experience with local photo/video teams, vendors or agencies
