Creative Director (Lagos)

About the role

A leading multimedia production company, known for content celebrating Nigerian and African fashion, music and entertainment, is looking for a Creative Director in Lagos. The ideal candidate drives original concepts that turn into effective, compelling communication and leads the creative direction of several projects.

Key responsibilities

• Generate clear ideas and concepts with the creative team, taking work from concept to final execution within deadlines
• Manage and supervise multiple projects and teams, allocating resources and switching between them seamlessly
• Direct copy, design and development of creative materials, keeping output on brand and visually appealing
• Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience; integrate technical and visual solutions into concepts
• Stay on top of trends, review outputs and guide improvements based on creative performance
• Offer fresh creative ideas to clients to generate revenue, and propose strategies to meet campaign objectives
• Lead brainstorming sessions, test executions across media and give constructive feedback
• Oversee day-to-day team operations, set clear goals, run team-building exercises and conduct quarterly performance reviews with HR
• Meet deadlines and stay within budget, and submit quarterly reports to management and monthly reports to the GM

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Creative Director, including at least 5 years in marketing or the creative industry
• Degree in a relevant field and ARCON certification
• Good management skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Required skills

• Creative and innovative writing, with a strong portfolio of graphic design and copywriting
• Proficiency with the tools used in the field
