Graduate Accounting Officer

About the role

This position is for a Graduate Accounting Officer based in Ikoyi, Lagos. The role offers a chance to develop professional accounting skills while supporting the finance team in day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, examining, and analysing accounting records and financial reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain an asset register by appraising, evaluating, and inventorying company assets.
• Record, reconcile, and post petty‑cash and fuel imprest transactions.
• Reconcile payments and receipts, confirm customer deposits, and issue receipts.
• Manage all accounting transactions and administer payroll.
• Control income and expenditure, audit financial information, and compile reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries, and financial statements.
• Perform any other related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of post‑qualification experience in a relevant accounting role.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
