General Manager – Mandarin & English (Hotel)

About the role

Yimei Nigeria Limited is looking for an experienced General Manager who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English to lead its hotel operations in Lagos. The role involves providing strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering outstanding guest experiences while liaising with Chinese investors and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations across all hotel departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Security, Finance, Sales & Marketing, and HR.
• Develop and execute business strategies to improve occupancy, revenue, and profitability; prepare annual plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Manage financial performance by preparing budgets, monitoring revenue and expenses, and implementing cost‑control measures.
• Maintain high guest‑service standards, handle VIP guests, resolve complaints, and drive guest satisfaction and loyalty.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate departmental heads and staff, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies.
• Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends to sustain competitive advantage.

Required profile

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English with strong communication skills.
• Proven experience in senior hotel management or general manager roles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage large‑scale operations.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and profit optimisation.
• Knowledge of hospitality standards, guest experience management, and regulatory compliance.
