General Manager – Business Process & Finance Operations (Expatriate)

About the role

Adexen is seeking a General Manager to lead Business Process and Finance Operations for its Nigerian operations. The role combines strong financial discipline with process optimisation, ensuring compliance, efficiency and operational effectiveness across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and delivery of accurate financial and management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, reporting standards and financial procedures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, working‑capital management and financial planning activities.
• Provide financial analysis and operational insights for senior decision‑making.
• Establish and strengthen accounting systems, policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives across finance and operational processes.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities and ensure adherence to corporate‑governance standards.
• Oversee integration between operational platforms and accounting systems, contributing to automation and process enhancements.
• Lead, develop and mentor finance and accounting teams, fostering a performance‑driven environment.
• Act as a key business partner to the Managing Director and senior leadership, building effective relationships across departments and with external stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls and business‑process improvement.
• Proven leadership experience managing finance teams in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
