Front Desk Receptionist – Hotel & Apartment

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at Teestone Hotel and Apartment in Lagos. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth check‑in and check‑out experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and handle check‑in/check‑out procedures efficiently.
• Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications in the reservation system.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
• Address guest requests, complaints, and concerns, escalating when necessary.
• Maintain accurate guest records and update reservation systems.
• Process payments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily transactions.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs.
• Keep the reception area clean, organized, and presentable.
• Monitor room availability and occupancy status.

Required profile

• Minimum HND or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Previous experience in a front‑desk, receptionist, or customer‑service role is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Excellent problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with hotel management software.
