Front Desk Manager

About the role

The Front Desk Manager will lead the reception team to ensure guests receive a warm welcome and professional service throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of front desk and reception staff.
• Oversee guest check‑in, check‑out, room reservations and booking confirmations.
• Handle guest complaints, inquiries and special requests promptly.
• Manage room allocation, availability and occupancy records.
• Train, schedule and evaluate front desk personnel.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, security and other hotel departments.
• Monitor front desk transactions, billing, payments and guest accounts.
• Prepare daily reports on occupancy, reservations and front desk activities.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, service standards and operational procedures.
• Maintain accurate guest records and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration or related field (advantageous).
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in hotel front desk operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong leadership, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional appearance, attention to detail and a friendly disposition.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in hotel management software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
