Financial Accountant – Senior Role in Agro-Allied Firm

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to join a leading agro‑allied company in Agbara, Ogun State. The senior‑level professional will oversee all financial activities, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate external audits and tax filings.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and funding requirements.
• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on finance‑related projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Professional membership with ICAN or ACCA.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial statement preparation and analysis.

Required skills

• General Accounting, Payroll, Inventory Management, Fixed Assets, Cash Accounting.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting.
• Odoo (or similar local accounting software) and ERP systems.
• Advanced accounting techniques and financial modeling.
