About the role
The Finance Officer will support the organization’s financial management by implementing policies, overseeing budgeting, and ensuring accurate and timely payments. This full‑time, onsite position is based in Ikoyi, Lagos, within a real‑estate and hospitality environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to improve governance.
- Manage the budgeting process, monitor performance, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Design procurement strategies for cost‑effective purchasing.
- Process vendor and employee payments accurately and on schedule.
- Analyse financial data and prepare reports for management decision‑making.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial reporting regulations.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain vendor relationships.
- Create and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets for departments and projects.
- Lead a team of finance and procurement professionals, providing training and coaching.
- Prepare balance sheets, income statements, cash‑flow statements, and tax filings.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Banking or Finance.
- 2‑3 years of relevant finance or procurement experience.
- Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
