Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations for a multi‑platform media organization. This role supports the financial health and stability of Quantum Expressions Media Consult LTD.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Reconcile bank, credit card and balance‑sheet accounts, investigating discrepancies.
• Process vendor invoices and payments, manage customer invoicing and collections.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, providing explanations for deviations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (ICAN or ACCA) required.
• 5‑8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a dynamic industry.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws and statutory reporting.
• Ability to support internal controls, audits and compliance activities.
