Finance Manager, Fuel Management

About the role

Dangote Cement Plc is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial control, performance monitoring, and cost optimisation across all fuel‑related operations, including CNG truck fleets, AGO (diesel) consumption, and fuel procurement. The role supports the company’s shift to lower‑cost energy sources while ensuring robust financial reporting and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end financial accounting for CNG, AGO and LPG operations.
• Ensure accurate posting of fuel consumption, inventory movements, conversion and operational costs.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly fuel consumption reports.
• Reconcile SAP records with physical consumption and operational data.
• Monitor CNG truck utilisation, conversion performance and vendor billing.
• Control diesel consumption across plants and transport fleet.
• Validate accounting for conversion costs (Capex vs Opex) and ensure compliance with internal governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field.
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within heavy‑industry or energy‑intensive environments.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
• Proven stakeholder management and ability to translate operational data into financial insight.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and cement industry regulations.
• Experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
