Finance Manager – Abuja

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the finance function in NRC’s Abuja office, ensuring compliance with organisational standards, donor requirements and local regulations while supporting programme implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of finance policies, procedures and strategies across country and area offices.
• Provide line management for finance staff, including performance management, recruitment and staff development.
• Develop and maintain country financial documents, tools and guidance in line with NRC standards.
• Maintain overall budget control, monitor cash flows and ensure accurate budgeting, accounting and year‑end processes.
• Train NRC staff and partners on financial and budgeting responsibilities.
• Implement the Anti‑Corruption Policy throughout all finance operations.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of senior finance experience with managerial responsibility in a humanitarian or recovery context.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Working proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Experience in risk management with implementing partners and remote management.
• Preferable previous experience in Central and West Africa.
