Head of Finance & Treasury

About the role

The Head of Finance & Treasury will shape and execute Boubid Africa's financial strategy, ensuring robust cash management, investment oversight, and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategy, prepare budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow projections, and advise the MD/CEO and Board on investment decisions.
• Manage daily cash positions, liquidity, working capital, and oversee all treasury transactions, including bank relationships and funding requirements.
• Support investment evaluation, conduct financial and scenario analyses, monitor portfolio performance, and assist with due diligence.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, management accounts, variance analyses and dashboards for senior management.
• Establish strong financial controls, monitor liquidity, market, credit and foreign‑exchange risks, and ensure segregation of duties.
• Oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations and CBN/NDIC reporting, and coordinate annual audits.
• Lead the finance and treasury team, set performance objectives, and drive capability development.

Required profile

• BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; ACA/ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 3–5 years in a senior finance/treasury leadership role within a regulated financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of CBN/NDIC reporting, IFRS, taxation, treasury and liquidity management.
• Experience with core banking systems and advanced Excel/data‑analysis skills.
• High integrity, attention to detail, discretion and the ability to challenge management constructively.
