Field Marketing Officer - Agricultural Sales

About the role

An agribusiness company focused on food security across Nigeria is hiring a Field Marketing Officer through its partner Talents in Agriculture. This is a sales role: you will turn an existing network of farmers and aggregators into revenue by selling agricultural produce, products and services to business and retail buyers across the Lekki, Ajah and Ibeju-Lekki axis, as well as Victoria Island and Lagos Island.

Key responsibilities

• Sell agricultural produce, products and services to B2B and B2C customers
• Convert the existing farmer and aggregator network into commercial deals
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
• Negotiate and close deals with support from the Team Lead
• Grow repeat purchases and keep customers coming back
• Track market prices, demand and competitor activity
• Work with the aggregation, production and operations teams to fulfil orders
• Track sales, collections and revenue, and hit monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Required profile

• BSc or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Agribusiness, Agriculture, Economics or a related field
• 2 to 5 years in field sales, marketing, business development, FMCG, agro-inputs, commodity trading or a related sector
• Proven record of meeting sales or revenue targets
• Knowledge of agricultural value chains and rural markets is an advantage; experience with farmers, cooperatives, aggregators, processors or off-takers is desirable
• Able to travel daily within the territory; candidates living in or near Lekki, Ajah or Ibeju-Lekki are strongly preferred

What we offer

• Compensation of N250,000 per month plus commission on deals closed
