Field Marketing Lead - Lagos Pilot

About the role

Energiecom Integrated Solutions is looking for a Field Marketing Lead to run its Lagos market pilot. The person's job is to understand whether the product genuinely works for traders and why, rather than just convincing them to use it. The initial engagement is about three months, covering the pilot; strong performance may lead to a larger role as the project grows.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day execution of the Lagos market pilot.
• Build relationships with market leaders and trader associations.
• Recruit, train and supervise Market Champions, and coordinate trader recruitment and onboarding.
• Observe how traders use the platform, conduct interviews and gather honest user feedback.
• Identify problems traders face and report them clearly.
• Track trader activation, usage and retention.
• Coordinate weekly conversations between selected traders and project leadership.
• Prepare concise daily and weekly pilot reports.
• Manage approved field expenses and keep proper records.
• Work with the technical team to escalate product and technical issues.

Required profile

• Approximately 2-5 years of relevant field experience.
• Experience in fintech field operations, POS/merchant acquisition, microfinance, FMCG field sales, telecom agent networks, NGO/community programmes, market research, SME support programmes or other grassroots field operations is a strong advantage.
• Be based in Lagos and comfortable working inside open markets.
• Able to manage a small field team and report to project leadership outside Nigeria.
• Organised, able to work independently, honest, observant, patient, curious, respectful and resourceful.

Required skills

• Good smartphone and digital skills.
• Comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets.
• Clear communication in English; comfort with Nigerian Pidgin; Yoruba is highly desirable.
