About the role

A private elderly couple in Lagos is looking for an experienced female chef to join their household on a live‑in basis. The role focuses on preparing nutritious, balanced meals tailored to senior dietary needs while supporting light housekeeping in shared areas.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily meals that meet low‑sodium, low‑sugar, heart‑healthy, and easily digestible requirements.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and organized food storage.
• Manage grocery inventory and handle special dietary instructions.
• Prepare occasional light snacks and beverages.
• Keep common areas, kitchen, and dining spaces clean and tidy on a daily basis.
• Support overall household tidiness between the housekeeper’s twice‑weekly deep‑cleaning visits.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a private chef or household cook.
• Strong knowledge of elderly nutrition and special dietary needs.
• Female candidate preferred and comfortable with live‑in arrangements.
• Calm, respectful, patient, and emotionally mature.
• Trustworthy, organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
