Assistant Laundry Specialist – Hotel

About the role

The hotel is looking for a dedicated Assistant Laundry Specialist to support its laundry operations. The role involves handling guest and hotel linens, ensuring they are clean, well‑maintained and delivered promptly to the appropriate departments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with washing, drying, ironing and folding of hotel linens, towels, uniforms and guest garments.
• Sort laundry according to colour, fabric and washing requirements.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all clean items are properly folded, stored and delivered to the appropriate departments.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry area.
• Report damaged or stained items to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist in maintaining adequate laundry supplies and detergents.
• Follow hotel hygiene, safety and quality standards.
• Perform other laundry‑related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum of SSCE/OND or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a hotel, laundry facility or hospitality environment is an advantage.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Physically fit and able to handle laundry‑related tasks.
• Honest, reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
