Executive Chef

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations at Grand Bezer Nigeria Limited. The role involves creating innovative menus, overseeing kitchen performance, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences across our hotel and restaurant outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, design, and continuously update diverse international and local menus.
• Oversee all kitchen operations, maintaining consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
• Lead, train, and evaluate kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and compliance with HACCP standards.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, supplier relationships, and control food costs while minimizing waste.
• Introduce innovative dishes and seasonal menu enhancements aligned with market trends.
• Supervise daily food & beverage operations, coordinate with front‑of‑house teams, and handle guest feedback.
• Prepare and submit operational performance reports and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Monitor beverage operations, staffing schedules, and maintain cleanliness of dining areas.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in hotels or upscale restaurants.
• Proven expertise in both local and international cuisine.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Food Safety / HACCP certification (or equivalent).
• Food costing and budgeting.
• Inventory control.
• Menu development and culinary innovation.
