Chef – Food Preparation & Kitchen Operations

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Chef to join our kitchen team in Marina, Edo. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of local and continental dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and customer requirements.
• Ensure food is presented to a high standard and monitor its quality and freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
• Manage food ingredients, report stock shortages and assist with inventory control.
• Follow food safety and health regulations.
• Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate with other kitchen staff.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Assistant (advantageous).
• Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Ability to prepare a variety of local and continental dishes.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude.
• Culinary training or certification is an added advantage but not compulsory.
