Engineering Expert – Remote, $13/hr

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Expert to author original, self‑contained engineering design tasks and integrate high‑rigor benchmarks into AI model evaluation pipelines. The role is fully remote and offers flexible weekly commitment.

Key responsibilities

• Author original engineering design tasks with competing constraints and validated reference solutions.
• Build, run, and validate problem environments using open‑source simulation tools and custom Python test benches.
• Evaluate coding agent outputs and execution logs to identify systemic failure modes.
• Refine problem difficulty based on empirical model performance data.
• Partner with AI researchers and domain experts to integrate benchmarks into the model evaluation pipeline.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering with strong relevant experience.
• Proficiency with at least one domain‑relevant open‑source simulation package and strong Python scripting skills.
• Hands‑on experience with modern LLMs, coding agents, and evaluation concepts.
• Uncompromising attention to physical plausibility, unit consistency, and technical documentation.
• Personal desktop/laptop equipped with a stable, high‑speed internet connection for remote work.
