Direct Sales Agent (Banking)

About the role

A Direct Sales Agent (DSA) is recruited by a leading commercial bank to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth. The agent identifies, engages and onboards new customers, promotes banking products and builds long-term client relationships while meeting sales targets across locations nationwide.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential customers through field sales, referrals and direct engagement.
• Promote and sell the bank's products and services, including savings accounts, current accounts and other financial solutions.
• Educate customers on product benefits, requirements and usage so they can make informed decisions.
• Onboard new customers by completing the required documentation and processes accurately.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage retention and referrals.
• Meet or exceed assigned sales and performance targets.
• Give timely feedback on market trends, customer needs and competitor activity.
• Ensure compliance with the bank's policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, and represent the bank professionally at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification of ND, HND or B.Sc. in any discipline.
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Clear, confident and professional verbal and written communication.
• Target-driven, self-motivated and results-oriented; able to work independently and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work across assigned locations nationwide.
• Previous sales or marketing experience is an added advantage but not mandatory.
