Deal Origination and Client Coverage Associate (Financial Services)

About the role

The Deal Origination and Client Coverage Associate will support the growth of a leading securities register and data management provider in Nigeria. You will identify, evaluate and develop investment and transaction opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with clients, investee companies and financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop investment, advisory and capital‑raising opportunities across target sectors.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective transactions and track opportunities.
• Conduct preliminary screening of deals based on strategic, financial and commercial criteria.
• Source opportunities through direct engagement with corporates, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, government agencies and professional advisers.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned clients and strategic partners, understanding their objectives and proposing appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate client engagement activities such as meetings, presentations and business reviews.
• Support business development strategies, prepare proposals and pitch materials.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in investment management, deal origination or related financial services.
• Proven track record of sourcing and managing transaction pipelines.
• Strong client relationship management skills with institutional investors, family offices or development finance institutions.
• Excellent analytical and commercial assessment abilities.
