Cybersecurity Officer

About the role

Cardstel Solutions Limited, a smart card manufacturer and security printing company serving banks, telecom providers and government agencies in West Africa, is hiring a full-time, on-site Cybersecurity Officer in Lagos. The role protects the company's information systems, networks and data assets in a highly regulated, high-security environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security tools and logs, identify and respond to security incidents, and implement security controls across infrastructure and applications
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and support PCI-DSS and other compliance initiatives
• Maintain security policies, procedures and standards
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to remediate risks, manage user access and privileges, and oversee endpoint and network security
• Coordinate security awareness activities for staff, document security events and prepare reports for management
• Stay current with emerging threats and best practices for payment systems and high-security manufacturing

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or a related field
• Previous experience in cybersecurity is beneficial
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to prioritise in a high-security, high-volume environment
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate complex security issues clearly

Required skills

• Network security, endpoint protection, vulnerability assessment and incident response
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as PCI-DSS and ISO 27001, and data protection regulations
• Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms, antivirus/EDR solutions and encryption technologies
• Risk assessment, threat analysis and development of security policies and procedures
